Four pictures, one sheet

You’ll find a big bullseye, broad stripes, a checker pattern, and a half-black circle. Each picture has its own square, ready to cut out.

Both paper sizes contain the same four cards. At 100% scale, each card is 3¼ inches square, about 8.3 cm.

How to print your cards

Print at 100% on white paper or printer-compatible cardstock. Use normal or high quality, and check that the black areas are not pale or streaky.

Cut around each square and smooth rough corners. Matte paper helps reduce reflections.

Bring one card over

  • Hold one card about 8 to 12 inches from your awake, comfortable baby’s face.
  • Keep it still for a few seconds. “Look at that big circle.” Your baby may enjoy hearing you talk about it.
  • When your little one turns away or fusses, put the card aside for another time.

Keep paper cards for looking

Stay with your baby and hold the cards for them. Paper cards are not chew toys; put away any that become wet or torn.

Keep cards out of the crib or bassinet, and scissors and paper scraps out of reach. Skip glitter, stickers, and small decorations that can come loose.
